In its quest to create enriching opportunities that provide valuable tools to the community and help foster a more equitable and efficient work environment, Sabre, the software and technology company that powers the travel industry, held two workshops at the Celebra building in Zonamerica.

“#IamRemarkable” and “Treat Operations like a Software Problem” were the two initiatives launched by Google that the company developed for the community.

The first event took place as part of Women In Technology, an internal Sabre community aimed at building a network to attract, develop, and retain female talent in technology roles within the company, and featured special guests from Google in the United States.

The workshop aimed to empower women and minority groups, boost their self-esteem, and help them realize their individual potential, while promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Over the course of 90 minutes, participants learned to recognize the value of self-awareness in their work environments and reflected on their social perceptions.

The second session focused on providing training on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), an operational practice developed by Google—which serves over a billion users—that enables the support of applications while enhancing IT operations.

The talk was open to the public and was
led by Steve Cravens, an expert with over ten years of experience in the IT field, who currently serves as a Google Customer Engineer (CE) for Sabre.
