At the 2025 World Free Zone Awards, Zonamerica was recognized in three key categories that reflect its leadership and long-term vision:

● Sustainable Free Zone of the Year – Americas (rankedNo. 1 as the best sustainable free zone in the Americas).
● Runner-up Knowledge Zone of the Year – Americas
● Top 10 Global Free Zones (ranked No. 8 among more than 80 free zones evaluated).

The Global Free Zones Awards, organized by fDi Intelligence (part of the Financial Times), are one of the industry’s leading international benchmarks.
Each year, they evaluate free zones around the world based on criteria such as infrastructure, services, governance, innovation, sustainability, and the ability to attract high-value-added companies.

In this edition, Zonamerica ranked 8th globally, a distinction that reaffirms our commitment to international standards of excellence.

In the Sustainable Free Zone of the Year – Americas category, we were recognized for specific initiatives that set us apart in the region:

• A 50% reduction in our carbon footprint.
• Emissions offsetting through reforestation projects.
• Use of digital platforms for environmental and operational monitoring.
• Partnerships with academic institutions that promote technology education for young people in Uruguay.

We were also named a runner-up in the Knowledge Zone – Americas category, which recognizes ecosystems that foster talent, innovation, and continuous learning.
