Zonamerica honored Tata Consultancy Services for its 20 years in Uruguay

To mark the 20th anniversary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) establishing a presence in Uruguay, Zonamerica hosted a luncheon to celebrate the growth of the Indian-based company, which entered the country in 2002 to provide IT services, consulting, and business solutions to clients around the world.

Following the meeting, a box cricket field was inaugurated at the business park with the aim of bringing the cultures of both countries closer together through India’s most popular sport.

A delegation from TCS, led by its Country Head, Natacha Emicuri, participated in the event, while Zonamerica was represented by its president, Orlando Dovat, among other officials.

Emicuri stated that the establishment of TCS in the country marked a milestone that spurred the development of local talent and the growth of the IT industry. “We believe that we share Zonamerica’s vision of positively impacting our clients’ businesses and our communities, and, in the long term, building a better future through innovation and technology,” he said.

In that regard, he expressed his delight at “continuing to play a leading role in this transformation. We are very grateful that you are joining us to celebrate TCS’s 20th anniversary in Uruguay.”

For his part, Dovat said, “It is a privilege to have supported TCS as it has grown and established itself as Uruguay’s largest technology company. We are delighted that they have chosen our park as a base for their technological growth and the development of local talent.”
